FAQ
For travellers
How do I book a tour, transfer or other service?
Find the offer you want in the catalogue and press the button to contact the driver or guide. It opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message. From there you agree the details directly with the person who will take you. The full process is on How it works.
Why can't I pay online on the website?
Because we don't act as a middleman for payments: the platform takes no money at any stage. That is a deliberate choice, not something missing. Handling payments would make us responsible for refunds, disputes and guarantees we simply can't provide, since we are not a party to your trip. What we offer instead is a real person, written terms and a recorded request you can point to. More on How we vet providers.
What if the driver or guide doesn't reply?
Your request page has a "No response?" button. It comes straight to us: we contact the driver or guide ourselves or suggest a replacement. Silence isn't a dead end, it's a signal we act on.
What if the trip can't go ahead, for example because of weather or a closed pass?
Since you paid nothing in advance, you lose nothing. If the season hasn't opened yet or the route is closed (the passes into Tusheti in winter, for example), we say so on the service page and suggest either an alternative that's available now or leaving your contact so we can let you know when the season opens.
How do you know the reviews are real?
We only collect reviews through personal invitations after the trip, so there are few of them and they are genuine. We send the review link on WhatsApp only once the trip has happened, and we send it ourselves, not the driver or guide, so nobody can inflate their own reviews.
How do I cancel a request?
Just let the driver or guide know on WhatsApp; the sooner, the better for them. There are no penalties: you paid nothing in advance, so there is nothing to pay. More in our Cancellation policy.
What does the ✓ mark next to a name mean?
"Verified" means someone from our team has met the person face to face and seen the car with their own eyes. "Under review" means they are already in the catalogue, but we haven't met in person yet. More on How we vet providers.
Do you check guides' and drivers' documents?
No. We don't collect or store passports, driving licences or vehicle papers, and we don't verify guide licences or certificates. Our check happens in person: we see the person and the car with our own eyes. What we check and what we don't is explained on How we vet providers.
Do I need to register on the site?
No. Your request is tied to a link with a unique code, not to an account, and you can use that link to check on your request at any time.

How do I start working with Mituda?
The catalogue grows through personal introductions and recommendations; there is no open sign-up. If you are a driver or guide and would like to work with us, write through the form on the contacts page and tell us where you work and what experience you have.
How does payment work?
The traveller pays you directly and in full, in person. The platform takes no commission at this stage.
Are changes to my profile published straight away?
Some are: availability, calendar, phone number. Others are checked by a moderator first: the description, tour itinerary, terms, photos and claims about qualifications. This protects both you and travellers from mistakes and false claims.
Can a traveller leave a review without my involvement?
Yes, and that's on purpose: we create the review invitation after a confirmed trip, not you. That keeps reviews honest.
