A day in mountain Adjara, an hour's drive from the sea. We head up the Adjaristskali valley: see two rivers of different colours meet, walk to the Mirveti, Makhuntseti and Karimana waterfalls, cross Queen Tamar's old arched bridge and climb to the ruins of Gvara fortress above the gorge. The day ends with a proper Georgian feast of homemade Adjarian dishes. The meal is included in the price.
